Pool Heat Pump / Pool Chiller
Heat Pumps work similar to your home a/c and heat pump. They pull heat out of the ambient air and compress internal gas to transfer heat or cold to the pool water. They can heat the pool water to 104 degrees or chill it 15 degrees below the outside air temperature. The heat pump is ideal when natural gas or propane is not available at your homesite. They can be controlled through the keypad on the heater or connected to a pool automation and controlled via an app.
Gas Pool Heater
Gas pool heaters burn propane or natural gas to heat the pool water. They can heat the pool water faster than heat pumps or electric heaters. They can heat the water up to 104 degrees regardless of the outside temperature. They can be controlled through the keypad on the heater or connected to an automation system and controlled by an app. Some models can connect directly to the homes wifi and be controlled by an app without the need for a pool automation system.
All Electric Pool Heater
All electric heaters are a good alternative when there isn’t space for a heat pump or natural gas/propane service isn’t available at your home site. These heaters are typically used for very small pools or spas and take longer to heat the water than gas heaters. However, if you have a small pool, no space for a heat pump and need to install a heater (indoors or outside), this is a great option.
Benefits
Not only do you get to enjoy your pool heater or chiller, the investment can increase the appeal of your home if you choose to sell it or rent it. Vacation rentals with pool heaters are more likely to increase reservations over the fall and winter months and potentially pay for themselves over time.
Consider Adding a Pool Automation
Control and monitor your new pool heater from anywhere. Adding a pool automation gives you the ability to turn the pool heater or chiller on or off and adjust the temperature settings. Set the temperature now so your pool is ready when you or your family arrive home.
